system specs:- windows 2000 + latest service pack 4 + all critical updates..basically the latest from windows update:- I log in using administrator problem :- monitor screen flickers.. so to change refresh rate of monitor to something higher... but I get only the following screen when I go to change refresh rate:- http://www.publicstatic.com/monitor.gif and "use hardware default setting " is the ONLY option I see.. Trying to load samtron 56V monitor driver from floppy when I right click on "My Computer" - properties - hardware - device manager -- I see http://www.publicstatic.com/devicemgr.gif i.e I dont see a "monitor" item at all ?? so I directly click on setup from the samsung floppy and I get a screen like http://www.publicstatic.com/samsung1.gif and I choose samtron 56V from the list and click on "install" and I get "Error Occur, While installing monitor adapter (Error Code 259) so any help will be sincerely appreciated basically I want the monitor flicker to go away the same monitor when used with windows 98 allows for changing refresh rate so when I set it to 70 / 80 the flicker goes away.. but the same cannot be done in windows 2000 why ??
