Hey everyone,

Just recently I was trying to remove some bad spyware and viruses from the computer and it involved me picking my way through the registry. I made a backup .reg file before going into this whole thing. Well, I messed up and now my cd-rom drive won't read anything or start my wireless internet. Everything is messed up in the registry.

So then I say hey I have a .reg file and then I try to import and I get a message saying it can't import it.

What can I do? I really need this registry back. :-(. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just went into the safe mode with command prompt. I tried in there and I got a different error message saying:

"Cannot import c:\WINNT\Registration.reg : Not all data was successfully written to registry. Some keys are open by the system or other processes"

Am I on the right track?
