Comment: I recently got a 250GB hard drive. On install my Bios recognises the size of the HDD. But when I go into Windows disk manager, it will only see 128GB. Is it a Bios or an OS problem? What can I do to fix this irritating issue?

Reply: (edit)Windows will only recognize that amount of space on a single drive. You will have to split the drive into partitions with a utility like Partition Magic, which will do it without losing your current stuff. I run three 120 gig. drives, and can see them all fine, but the largest partition is only 120 gigs (one full drive).
