I just bought an ipod and the software told me to either update my OS with service pack 4 for windows 2000 or Windows XP. So I downloaded SP4 from Microsoft.com and now my PC attempts to boot up and a blue screen pops up right before the start window screen and then it automatically reboots. The blue screen says:
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

let me have a guess, you installed SP4 and withouth rebooting you installed the i pod?
Or tried installing the ipod without reading the instrcutions?
one of this two you have done, next time read before you install please.
Boot into safe mode and remove the i-pod driver.
Reboot the system and look if sp4 is installed succesfull. Afther this you can install the ipod but only before you have read the manual cuz maybe your videocard driver wont work if you install it.
