Comment:

Right when windows trys to initalize, I get the error messege, "A Disk read error occurred, Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" Already rebooted, several times.

Anyone know any good Command line disk error fixing tools, so that I can recover without a reinstall?

Matt

Boot to the CD and start up in rescue mode, try auto repair to fix any missing or croupt files.

If the disk it's self has bad sectors it may not be repairable.

your only othr option is to perform a low level format of the disk itself and reinstall.

Backup, backup, backup....
