Hey, incase you didn't guess by the subject, I'm running Windows 2000 Pro. My goal is to have one network card for internet access and one to share my access with another computer on my network. My internet access works perfectly using a 3com 3c900b-tpo, but I'm having trouble getting my other NIC installed. It is a 3com 3c905b-tx. I checked the Microsoft Windows 2000 compatability chart, and it says it should work. When I installed Win2k, it detected and installed the card I use for internet access, but not the 3c905b-tx. For some reason plug and play does not seem to work on my computer for any devices. I've tried installing several Win98 and WinNT drivers with no luck. It just says "The style of the INF is different than what was requested." 3Com does not have any Win2k drivers for it on their web site, however since its on the Microsoft compatability chart and my other 3com card works fine, there has got to be a way to solve this. All comments are greatly appreciated.

Hi!!

My 905B-tx is also working ok!!

Try taking out the 900 card and let w2k install the 905b first and the insert the 900 and reboot the computer????

Maybe it'll work!!!

You'll have to let w2k to detect the 905b under an installation so you have to start all over!!! I'm sorry but I don't know if it'll work!!

Martin!!
