Comment: When printing a document to a Network printer using a Windows 2000 Pro client running on an NT 4.0 domain network - I get an error in the event log: Event ID 45 Document failed to print due to GDI/Driver error in rendering. Does anyone know how to correct this? Please help. Thanks!

Reply: (edit)Not sure, but it may be that the Windows 2000 client is running a different driver than what your network printer uses? I'm sorta taking a shot in the dark since you didn't say weather it has print server managing it, if it's a standalone, what model it is, what drivers you're running, if other Windows 2000 clients can print ok, etc... Might start a new post with more info if nobody else solves your problem.... Might also check to see that the printer's firmware is up to date....

Reply: (edit)just a thought- did you check to make sure the servewr (nt4) HAS the nt2000 drivers, and its not pushing nt4 instead? we are a win2k facility now, but ran into "strange" problems when combining nt4 and 2000.... like dhcp not working right...
