Windows 2000 on SATA disk?

Hi all,
I've tried to install Windows 2000 on my Fujitsu Siemens C1410 having SATA disk 80 GB and the installation failed. I was wondering what it was but finally I understood that this must be due to new SATA disk inside. Also older XPPro version failed during the installation (only OEM version is installable).
My question is if I can install WIndows 2000 at all by adding for example some files to the original Installation disk of Windows 2000?

During the setup right at the beginning it states to hit F6 to install additional drivers, did you at this point offer the SATA Controller Chipset Drivers on a Floppy Disk ??
FYI SATA drives are supported in all O/Ses it is the Controller Chipset which generally is not.........
