Hi There,
I am running a WIndows NT Domain, with several Win2k PC. After a while the drive Icon in Windows Explorer shows a drive with a red cross (disconnected). Anyone know how to stop this from happening.

I have the same thing happen on my home Win2k Domain, all the mapped drives still work, you can even select them and the cross will disappear after a few seconds

Also, you could disconect the mapped drives and use a direct call......something like this: \\computer1\c computer1\filename.xxx it works just as well as a mapped drive, and a boot will go faster because it does not have to connect to all the drives.

We have a similar problem, except our drives disconnect only when trying to save Office XP files to a mapped drive. Other file types leave the drive connected or restore the connection. We are running Win2k against an NT4 server. After much experimenting we determined that if we unload the TrendMicro OfficeScan (v6.1) client it functions properly. Anyone else have OfficeScan virus software running?
