I just purchased a generic 250 GIG HD to install on this machine as a second drive. I partitioned and formated this second drive as NTFS. I enabled 48-bit LBA in the registry and it still shows up as a 127 GIG drive. I thought maybe the bios was the limit so I purchased an EIDE Ultra ATA 100/133 controller card that supports the larger HD size to hopefully fix the problem. It still shows up as a 127 GIG drive. The master drive is an 80 GIG white label Maxtor and shows up and works fine. How can I get Win 2000 to see this second 250 GIG slave drive?
Please email responses in addition to nswering the post. TIA

What service pack do you have for Windows 2000? (Do a right -click on "My Computer" and select 'Properties'. Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 and earlier do not support 48-bit LBA properly. Check out this site and see if it helps you: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;305098&Product=win2000
