After installing windows 2000 pro, I tried to update it by installing the servipack 2 , during the installation, the computer crashed, now I have installed the windows 2000 (initial version), but it doesn't allow me to install new hardware (it said that it is currently installing new hardwar), it doesn't shut down by itself and internet is really slow, when I tried to reinstall again, the process stop in the installing devices step, any suggestion ?

First, boot on your Win2k disk and use the Repair feature. Fast Repair will do. If it works you will be presented with a new desktop, but that's easy to get back to normal.
