Comment: I'm having a problem with people changing the start page of IE 5 on some workstations. WinShield is installed on those so file menus are disabled. Disabling scripting and whatnot is not an option. I was wondering if anybody knew of a batch file that could run on start up to change the home page back. Your help is much appreciated.

Reply: (edit)if you were running novell zenworks then you could just send the registry hack which is easy. otherwise you possibly could make the startpage something unique on your puter. search the registry for that string and then export the key. edit the exported registry key and make it to thepage you want it then somehow have users run that file upon startup. goodluck. zenworks is definately easier. i believe that M$oft have SMS or something similar which may do it for you

Reply: (edit)See that's the thing, I can't figure for the life of me how to run a registry key on startup without asking if it's ok to add to the registry. How do you get it to load on startup anyway?
