everytme i boot windows 2k it hangs when it says preparing network connections. Something about a memory dump and it mentions bsudfrdr.sys file?????HELP!!!

Try booting in Safe Mode and see if you can access any Event Viewer logs that might help. Might also try running the Repair console off the Windows 2000 CD......

I have experienced this problem in Windows XP but I suppose the same thing could occur in Windows 2000. I upgraded from Windows 2000 with the AHead InCD packet writing software installed, everything worked then added a parallel port ZIP drive driver and I got this problem. Here are the full details and how I got around it:
Everytime XP booted a STOP occured in BSUDFRDR.SYS (blue screen of death).
Even worse, safe mode would hang!! I switched off the ZIP drive and the OS
would boot, but that was not acceptable. I downloaded the latest IOmega
drivers (8Mb) and it still caused the same problem.I realised that BSUDFRDR.SYS must be a UDF disk reader (I guessed this by its
name) so it must be the CDRW driver that is at fault. I had the Ahead InCD
UDF packet writer software installed which worked in Windows 2000
Professional, but XP has its own UDF reader and writer installed already. I
think that when the Ahead one enumerated the drives it thought that the ZIP
Drive was a CDRW and when it tried to initialise it the driver crashed. I
*uninstalled* the Ahead InCD UDF packet writer software and now everything
works fine. CDRWs can be read by using the Microsoft XP supplied driver.Note: I didn't use the ZIP drive on Windows 2000 so I expect that this problem could occur under Windows 2000 too.
XP looks like a tarted up version of Windows 2000 Professional, but it is
probably the best OS that Microsoft have ever done. If I didn't have a dual
boot system I would have been in trouble with that BSUDFRDR.SYS problem.
