Comment: I have no idea where to start...this is such a weird error. Before restarting my computer, i had installed an older version of roxio easy cd creator, after restarting, the comp hangs right at the windows 2000 screen. The bar on the bottom gets about 1/2 way across then stops loading, and the keyboard is frozen. I have absolutly no idea what could have caused this or how exactly it happened, if anyone has any ideas please help!

Reply: (edit)Restart the computer and when prompted hit the F8 key to go to the menu options. Select the "Start with last known good configuration". (That may not be the exact wording but should be close).

Reply: (edit)ERD is the first choice. if you dont have one use recovery console to disable services that is loading automatically at boot. examin weather there are any services are related to the program you last install. if so disable it.
