Hi all
i m facing some strange problems. My pc hangs after some time. It freezes (windows 2000 prof) totally.Previouly it was not hanging much , just it was not responding to logoff or shutdown commands. So i could logoff or restart only once without a hard boot. Also whenever i said shutdown (as i said i could shutdown if i have logged of one time) it restarted automatically.
i had one more harddisk on which i had installed 2k server.it was not having this type of problems.
As the machine was hanging after working for a few hours, i thought it may be because of heat.
After some days i had to cahnge my display card (from trident to sis). From that time i started facing this freezing problem after every 2-3 minutes.Even i changed display card with another sis card. But i could not solve problem .Recently i tried with disabling some devices and check as it works fine in safe mode. I disabled my LAN card shown as CNET also tried with disabling sound card. When i checked with sigverif i found some applications and drivers are not digitally signed.evn when only one LAN card is installed it shows other devices also like wan miniport etc.Cnet e2000 +T+PnP is enabled
but Cnet e2000 +T+PnP ethernet addapter for deterministic is
disabled. So even i m not connected to my Lan.
Can any body help.
I also tried these things,
putting my harddsik with other motherboard
and putting other harddisk in my motherboard
But problem was same.
So i think its related with disabling some devices and i dont think Display card has any problem.Pls help

It sounds like you've switched a lot of hardware on the OS even when it was having some shutdown and startup problems (which should have been fixed in the first place).
I'd suggest you first look through the Event Viewer logs to see what's erroring out.

After that I'd strongly suggest you back up all your data on that hard drive, then wipe it out (with FDISK) and reinstall the OS again and make sure you use the correct and latest drivers for everything (otherwise it sounds like your system is never going to be stable)....
