I had a corrupted/missing file which prevented Windows 2000 from starting up. I managed to recover this by running Repair Console but now when I get to the login screen and press OK I get the message - Cannot log on, Domain DELLINSPIRON4000 not available. Has anyone got any ideas?

If you have permissions you can try to take it off from the domain and then re-add it. If that doesn't work you can check to see if the drivers for the NIC or modem are still installed and then try that again. Good Luck
