Comment:

I just started to upgrade our NT 4.0 Servers to Win2000. I upgraded my NT4.0 PDC to Win 2000 master but now I am having problems installing Active Directory to member servers and make them a Domain Controller as well.

The error I am getting is Failed to locate suitable controller. I check my DNS and it seems to be OK.

Any idea on how to resolve this?

Thanks.

Make sure that the member servers are client of your DNS server and if there is SRV record in your zone for your DC.

Now I am getting an "Access Denied" error.

I dont understand, I am using the same administrator account and password when I installed/upgraded my Master DC.

Any tip on how to fix this?
