Comment: I just started to upgrade our NT 4.0 Servers to Win2000. I upgraded my NT4.0 PDC to Win 2000 master but now I am having problems installing Active Directory to member servers and make them a Domain Controller as well. The error I am getting is Failed to locate suitable controller. I check my DNS and it seems to be OK. Any idea on how to resolve this? Thanks.

Reply: (edit)Make sure that the member servers are client of your DNS server and if there is SRV record in your zone for your DC.
