I'm receiving "Windows cannot load your profile, it may be corrupted" when attempting to log in to my Windows 2000 Workstation PC. My problem is that I have several very important files that were encrypted and now when I log in as another user, I cannot read the files. Is there any way to repair the original profile and/or get into the files even though they are encrypted? Please help!!
Thanks
Chris

You log in with an account that has Administrator rights on the machine. Then you can copy 'til the cows come home. Also I would create another profile, then after copying the files you want delete that profile and it's folder under C:\Documents and Settings\<username>
Rule #1: Good Computers don't go down.
Rule #2: There is no such thing as a good computer.

No, you can't copy or move "encrypted" files. That won't work. You can't even burn them to a CD. It says "access error, the file may be in use".
I need a way to either repair my profile (that originally encrypted the files) or find a way to break the encryption.
Anybody ever had this problem before?
Thanks!

Not sure If it'll help your situation or not ,,, and You may have run across the same website, But if you look at it ,supposedly Should be able to create another user who will have access to all files from a particular user be that an administrator or any other ,,,
If Not ,,, Well Just trying to Help out ,,, Good Luck Huh>>>>
