Comment:

Fortunately I was able to do a windows 2000 repair and restore my once lost cdrw/rom. The error error leading to the "repair" is still there:

1. source-viadsk, Driver detected an internal error in its data structures for:

0000: 00 00 00 00 01 00 56 00 ......V.
0008: 00 00 00 00 04 00 04 c0 .......À
0010: bc f7 c1 eb 18 00 00 c0 ¼÷Áë...À
0018: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........
0020: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........

2. System Control Manager: The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: viadsk.

I'm using VIA 4n1 v3.2 drivers on Tyan 1584 mobo. Any and all help is appreciated.

Nathan
