I'm thinking of buying a used computer that has windows 2000. Is windows 2000 broadband capable? Will it have any problems with my router?

Windows 2000 in 1996? Time is warped for you bud! We were still running NT and Win95 10 years ago.

Probably a blond moment (although it's mostly grey nowadays), you are right it was NT4 back then.
Updated to 2kPro as soon as it came out and never looked back.
