Hi All, I am writing to find out if anyone knows how to find out what version/edition of windows 2000 server I am using. I can find out what version/edition I am using on a windows 2003 server using command 'winver' but it seems much much harder to find out how to get this information on windows 2000.
Can anyone advise how to do this... asap please?? I've already tried a few things like version, winver, ver and so on but I've been advised that there may be vb script to do this.

Have you tried opening the System Applet in Control Panel? If not, do so. I don't recall offhand if it will show whether it's Advanced or Standard but it costs you nothing to check.

Hi there, Thanks for the idea but I've already tried that. It is a strangely hard one to find.... frustrating though becuase I'd rather spend my time on other things but I'm auditing some systems and need the info.
Thanks anyway.
Cheers, Goofylocks
