Ok this is the weirdest F'in thing i've come across...

Wink2pro machine...

Girlfriend blew up the old powersupply by not letting it cool (stacking stuff on it)

got a new box w/PS hook it up and on startup right as the blue bar scrolls to boot.. it restarts by itself..

tried it in the old setup i had rigged up till the new case got here and it did the same thing (it was working fine last night)

i've tried the following:

Booting from a CD (does it still)
Take all parts off the MD except HD and VC (does it still)
Take it out of the case maybe its touching metal and restarting (does it still)

i thought maybe the blaster worm but im pretty sure that lets you get all the way into windows before it makes you restart correct?

i have tried just about everything i can possibly think of any other options anyone can provide?

I had the same problem after I installed a patch from MS (go figger...hee hee) It would get as far as the blue screen and just b4 it would open the login screen..boom...reboot. I was able to use my Windows98 bootdisk to get to the prompt and then did a CLEAN install of Win2K..that fixed it... but it created another prob for me and I have a question posted here for the answer to that one! Good Luck!

Have you tried booting in the various safe modes?
