When I boot up my Win2k, after the white startup screen, the screen becomes completely blank with lines of colors on it. I can't login or do anything with it.

I figured that the problem lies with the video driver because Safe mode or 'enable VGA mode' works. From there, I reinstall my video driver. However, the problem still persists!

Now I wonder whether my video card is faulty or only the video driver file is corrupted.

I would suggest that your video driver is corrupt. I would boot into safe mode, delete the driver and allow it to reboot and discover a VGA adapter, then have a look on the manufacturers web site for an improved driver (one that works)
