win2k usb problem on hp pavilion

hy i have a odd problem whith my hp pavilion whin i tryed to instal win2k on it it would work just fine for a time then it would blue screen on bootup so after looking into event veiwer i came to notice the keyboard was it..so i then unpluged the keyboard and it booted fine but then after it was up i plug the keyboard back in and then the pc would just reboot and blue screen again...is this a usb bug or is this HP just not going to take it properly?? although hp seas ya can run win2k on the 9680c it is not supported. i also have the latest bios from them...any help in this issue would e thankfule

You must first upgrade your BIOS. You can find information on the HP site for this and the downloads also. Also if you have Intel inside, there is an update that may be required. Do this BEFORE you load W2k.
