Comment: Hi, Situation: 2 computers that has different OS win2k and win98 second edition. I have problem sharing the win98 files. I can see shared files and folders in the win2k box from the win98 box. In the win2k box I can see the name of the computer of the win98 box. But when I double click at the name I get the following message: "Parameter is incorrect". If I search for computers (the win98 box) in win2k I find the win98 box (not suprising) but when I do this two computers show (two win98 boxes). One of them I can explore and see folders and the other one I get the same error message as poste above. I dont know how to get this right... please help me. /Christer

Reply: (edit)Hi, Do you have make IP for the network ? You must choose IP with your network card, ex.: 192.168.2.200 with mask : 255.255.255.0 and select IP DNS : 192.168.2.200 Normaly the network are auto selected but some time, if you have a network card 10 MB /100 MB network card, is possible that a card select 10 MB mode and the second 100 MB mode. For lock the mode, select option of your network card and in advanced options, select type of connection and on the right board you can select the speed transfert. Best regards, Azazel
