Hi,

I installed Windows 2000 SP3 this morning with no problems. Tonight, when I switch my pc on I got an 'Invalid "Boot.ini" file' error which I fixed by running 'fixboot' from my win2k rescue console from the CD. All then boots fine, but when the Win2k splash screen comes up I get the stop error:

Stop: Unable to load device driver \various normal directories\audstub.sys then more numbers here.

I try to restart in safe mode but windows keeps falling over when trying to boot up - same point every time.

Please help!

Richard Stevens
