Net Logon Fails to start Atomaticly when the system starts up. In my services it is set up to start atomacily but never will. So I have to start it manualy ever time I restart the system. Plese Help If you can. and email me also @ Kevin@tmj.com
Thanks Kevin

Look in the Event Viewer. You will almost certainly have events that correspond to this problem that will most likely give you some more detail as to why this is happening.
I have seen this happen when services don't start in the proper order and are dependent on each other. This can be fixed but the first place to look for clues is in the event viewer system log.
Good luck.
Glen

Thanks Glen, Here Is what Came Up first error was WorkStation Service has not ben started.
The Net Logon service terminated with service-specific error 2138.I Have No Idea why Im getting the Workstation error.
Im Still at a loss. Im not a real IT person so im still learning. So if you have any Ideas let me know?

This is the closet to my subject I found. I forgot the password to Windows 2000. I can't get in obviously anymore. I thought I could just boot another version of Windows. I tried Windows Me. Ain't workin, I'm thinkin it may be because the active partition is NTFS. Not sure, but is there anyway to delete 2000 or somethin?

Kevin: Have you checked that Workstation is starting up automatically? If it is and it's not starting when it should be, then you should check the dependencies of the services you require and make sure that all dependencies are starting automatically.
Black92181: Before I start, try starting a new post for your problem, you'll get more help from the forum.
There are utilities (try www.sysinternals.com) which will allow Windows 9.x based systems to see and even edit NTFS volumes. If you can remember the Administrator acount password (essential!) then you're fine, however, if you can't, then back up everything using a different OS and reinstall 2K.
