OK, to the person who may help me with this problem you are my personal savour. The problem: cannot browse the network or search for computers from any remote dial in computer. The setup: Windows 2000 Pro as the dial in server -> Also acting as a file server for my lan. LAN: all different OS's (98 through XP) with NO internet access. I repeat there is no internet access here. So you might be wondering how I am connecting remotly. Dial phone number to office -> Modem picks up, and connection is made. What I have noticed is that I cannot ping the server from remote computer unless I assign static IP's that are on the same subnet. So what is going on here??? I am probly missing something simple.
Any help is appreciated. If I am not being clear I will elaborate but I am trying to keep this short.
