win2k prob

CPU/Ram: dual 2400+ 1gb pc 2100

i recently built a computer and installed windows 2000 on it. when the computer restarted to go to the setup, i receive stop errors, and have yet to setup windows. any help?

What's the makeup of your computer? Some hardware will cause problems with W2K.

here is the makeup of the computer:

(2) AMD Athlon MP 2400+
(2) 512MB PC2100
GA-7dpxdwn mobo
ATI Radeon 9700 pro
SB Audigy 2 Platinum
Sony DRU-500A
Lite-On 52x cd-rw
(1) Maxtor 30GB HDD
(4) Maxtor 80GB HDD

and to update the bios, i cant even run windows to update the bios, i mean i have the bios update on disk, but how can i go about to update it?
