Win2K Pro Screen Saver

Any ideas why the screen saver does not activate? My video drivers are the latest for my card and nothing has been changed other then installing Microsoft service packs. On the display settings, the screen saver will work fine when I click the preview button. It just wont start when the timer runs out. Help please. I'm stumped on this one.

there is probably some program running that is keeping the computer active.
