win2k pro, add tcp/ip?

I have a LAN icon in my network, when I right click on it go to properties and add tcp/ip all i see is dcl<--something tcp/ip and apple tcp/ip, if I add either or both my connect will not wk, I've tried installing all the internet protocalls frokm my disk ( add componebts) but I can't get simple tcp/ip. please someone give me a hand hold. I have all other setting in.

Unless you removed TCP/IP during installation or thereafter it should be installed by default (and setup for DHCP). Try creating a new connection under Netowrk & Dial-up Connections. Check out the protocols listed under the Networking tab under the Properties. Failing that, go to a DOS prompt and try IPCONFIG to see if TCP/IP is installed.

Go to access manager under apple menu/control panel and make sure sure whatever services you want are enabled.

I don't use a mac, i use Pc win2k, i prolly have apple tcp/ip cuz I added everything I could from the win2k disk., and win2k i am set up as NTFS, no DOS.

You can still access a DOS prompt even though you're on NTFS. Look at Start/Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt...
