OK, I get the feeling that I should either know this or maybe it isn't doable:
I have 2 DSL lines connected to a network here, using 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.5.1 as the router/gateway address(s).
My primary machine can access both the .1 and .5 networks actively and monitor them with no problem.
Is there a way to cause my machine to use the .5 network/gateway only for browsing or otherwise specify which programs use which gateway?
I keep thinking there should be, what am I missing?

Simple, do not get the IP info automatically (via DHCP.) Instead manually(statically) enter the IP infor for that system.

The IP addresses assigned to my machine are static. NIC #1 is set to 216.43.x.y which is my primary DSL w/static block. NIC #2 is set to 192.168.1.202 and 192.168.5.202 to access the DSL lines at 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.5.1 respectively. There is NO DHCP running on the LAN.

scott, you need to rephrase your question please.
"Is there a way to cause my machine to use the .5 network/gateway only for browsing or otherwise specify which programs use which gateway?"
First of all, what are you trying to accomplish?
you say browsing, do you mean browing the network or the internet?
you say specify which programs use which gateway, what do u mean by that? which computer uses which gateway? cause programs dont use the gateway, programs are used by the computer... they just use the router as a connection from point to point. So you want your .5 extension to be just for network viewing or what
Also how many Pc's do you have?
