Win2k logon problems - Disk Space

Original Message

Subject: Win2k logon problems - Disk Space
OS: Windows 2000
CPU/Ram: AMD 1gb ram
Model/Manufacturer: no
Comment:
I am getting an error that says there is not enough disk space and that Windows will use a default profile when I try to log on. There is around 2gb of free space on c:\.

In my Documents and Settings folder my username (Daniel) is there but with no items on the desktop etc, and what I guess is my old profile is there as c:\Documents and Settings\Daniel.bak. How do I restore it to my old desktop settings etc?

Clear some room on your hard drive. Chances are, your pagefile is using up most (if not all) of the 2 GB's you have free.

Alternatively, you could try reducing the size of your pagefile.

You could also move the pagefile to another partition.

Life is more painless for those who are brainless.
