I have a Dell Inspiron 1100 dual-booting SuSE 8.2 FTP edition and Windows 2000 Professional, and when I attempt to boot Win2K, the "progress bar" reaches halfway, pauses for a painfully long time, starts back up, goes to the end, and then stops. The animated bar still moves, though. Trying Safe Mode stops at halfway, and trying Safe Mode w/Command Prompt stops at the end of the text mode "Starting Windows 2000..." screen. This problem spontaneously occurred. I had installed UT:GOTY recently, but it had run for well over a week without issues. SuSE Linux 8.2 was installed well over two months ago. SuSE runs fine, but I need to be able to get into Windows. I'm willing to compile a new kernel to be able to write to my NTFS partition, but I'd like to be able to repair it in another way.
