WIN2k: IE and Active X problem.

Are there any Active X controls that can cause IE 5.5 and your monitor screen to freak out? I came across a site with Active X and I gave it permisson to download (while running NAV). After that IE started flickering, not displaying web pages right, and causing my screen to flicker and bounce around. I couldn't see the mouse or any of the buttons to shut anything down. Finally I got IE closed and I haven't had any problems, yet! I've been browsing with Opera 5.0 for the past hour and nothing has happened. Should I just reload IE or could this be something more serious?

Try upgrading to IE 6, it may have fixed the problem...

No problem. I actually found this site today while having trouble with my moniter and reformatting decision. Anyhow, I found that some internet related programs caused it to lag, programs that send out your IP address for p2p file transfer program. Stuff like that. What programs have you installed before and after the nimda attack?

Oops, I think I answered your other question. I'm not sure which programs caused it. But I'm pretty sure that upgrading will solve the conflict. ^_^
