Suddenly WIN2K wants to do a file system check of my C: Drive before proceeding to finish loading the OS. (This is the standard WIN2K file-checking screen that sort of does what SCANDISK used to do after you improperly shutdown Windows) Well, it always hangs at 41% or 50%complete...forever! Even if I start out in safe-mode. It will sit overnight even... no progress!!!So I have to shutdown, reboot, and SKIP the test in order to use the computer. From what I can tell, there is nothing obviously wrong with my C: drive and everything else functions properly, including defrag. Ideas?
