Win2k Desktop

I was recently changing my desktop background and finally settled on an image. The problem is that when I boot up my PC, the desktop shows a different image before switching to my chosen image.
Is there a way to avoid this or at least pick what image to show while booting up? I used to have the same problem when I was still using win98.

yeah i think theres a coupla ways of doing it. i suspect your new image is a jpg so windows enables active desktop. active desktop sucks so id recommend your convert the pic you want to a .bmp file. disable active desktop which will revert to your previous image, set your background then to the new bmp file.
