My cd autorun feature is not working. ive read instructions on it:

"1.. Double-click My Computer.
2.. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options, and then click the File
Types tab.
3.. In Registered file types, click AudioCD, and then click Advanced.
4.. In Actions, click Play, and then click Set Default."

:but in the registered file types, AudioCD is not there. and in the registry, autorun value is set to one.
I recently formatted my pc then installed the TDK velocd cdrw and that may have facilitated this problem. Any ideas?

Many CD burning programs will shut the autoplay off. If so, look in the menu options of your burning software and if it has the option to turn it off or on, set it to on.

If that doesn't work, then give this a try.
Go to the regisrty entry and change it to 0. Reboot then go back and change it back to 1. Reboot again and then try it. Windows gets stuck sometimes. I had this problem with Win98 and the fix I mentioned worked. I don't know why it worked but I'm not going to argue with sucess.
