HI there, I have win2k pro. THe problem is I can't renew IP from my DHCP server after I release it. BUt it gives me new IP when I restart my PC. When I have my IP. I can ping to any IP address on the internet, but I can't ping to domain name server. Example: I can ping to 64.58.79.230 but I can't ping to yahoo.com. I have tried 5 different networkcards but they don't make the different. Could any one show me the solution. I really appreciate.

your dns setting must be all screwed, goto a command prompt, then type ipconfig /all and check that you have correct dns settings.
you could try setting a static ip and setting your dns setting there - set your primary dns server as your network server, then the secondary as your ISP's dns server.
Is your DHCP server a computer or a router? If it's a router, you can probably set what dns it dishes out in the config. maybe you forgot to set that?
