I have successful upgraded my Compaq server by using windows 2000 advanced server, as it's accumalated occupie HDD space, I would like to install a clean version instead of upgrade. I do sucessful make 4 satrt disk from win2K CD, but the disk 1 found found error at ntdecte.exe, no matter I make it again, same error appear, I suspect some error or minor scrach happen with my Advanced Server CD, or previous NT4.0 create this problem, could some one give me advice where I could found the start up disk of Win2K?

Thanks

Not sure of the exact answer here but I had the same problem with a reinstall of Win 2000 professional. When I did a fresh install on a clean disk the problem disappeared. You can of course get the machine to boot from the CD if this option is available in the BIOS, this is faster than making boot floppies.
