Hi can anyone help?I am logged into a Win2K Adv Srv domain controller.Ive gone into AD users & computers, right clicked on the domain, selected properties and gone into Group Policy.Ive selected the default domain policy and chosen Edit, expanded the Windows settings and highlighted the audit policy.I have enabled success and failure auditing on ALL NINE events.I have then re-booted the server.I have then logged in and out of a Win2K Pro client using different domain user accounts, deliberatly set 'no access' on certain folders and attempted to access them with auditing set to success and failure on those folders. No matter what i do i cannot get a SINGLE success or failure audit to appear in the security log of event viewer.Other settings within the default domian policy ARE taking place so what on earth can i be doing wrong? There are no other policies created. Can someone please put me out of my misery? Thanks Qcumber.
I think theirs something else before auditing can be enabled. I think you have to go into system policies and enable a few things before you can aduit successfully. Also you could search the web and use the help files to help find your answer.
