Win2k ATM Network Config Problems
Name: John Puddy Date: October 2, 2002 at 02:05:44 Pacific OS: Win2k Pro CPU/Ram: 1GHz / 256Mb
Comment:
I administer a network of 4 PC's connected through a switched ATM network, and have recently ported from Windows NT to Win2k Pro.
The network cards have been configured correctly as far as I can see, and I can ping between all the machines. However, I cannot see any machines under the Network neighbourhood even though they are all under the same workgroup. I am also unable to map a network drive, with it simlply saying that the network path cannot be found.
Additionally, Win2k (in its wisdom!!) keeps adding emulated LANs which I am unable to delete or uninstall.
Any help would be greatly received and if possible please could replies be emailed to puddyj@whl.co.uk
