It happened to me too, I solved by
formatting the hard drive and installing
the SP2 right after win2000 installation
and configuration process.....the idea is
install SP2 before install any software.

MY PC keeps on rebooting before going to windows 2000 logon screen. Any Idea what it could be. I have installed new memory modules but the problem still stays. Any suggestions would be highle appreciated.

hi i seem to have solved my problem for now, win2000 seems very touchy about what memory to use i got branded and she was ok - powered down put generic back in and she crashed again. i ended up buying a smart tool called repoman 2.0 from www.diydatarecovery.nl/
this lets u view and edit your mbr (amongst other thigs ,top program although deep)you can also get "mbrtool" free from the net.
the drive seems fine the systems streaming along -and another satisfied customer.
thanks for all your thoughts :-)
