Comment:

How to install a printer by IP Address instead of network location path?

example: IP Adress is 199.128.70.22

which is the correct way to install?
Http://199.128.70.22 or 199.128.70.22
within the intranet functions?

thanks in advance!

from what i think you are saying seems similar to what we have set up here.... (may have mis-interpreted what you are trying to do though)
when we add a printer by ip address we go into printers> add printer> add local printer (but un tick automatically detect etc) then on the next screen click create new port and change it to TCP/IP (the option should be there in the drop down list) then it will ask you firstly for the ip address and then for what printer is and there you go...

hope this helps.. let me know if you need more details
