I'm tryinjg to get win2000 going on my f490 vio. It has a Neomagic 256xl+ adapter. Can anyone tell me where to get win2K drivers for this display. Sony hasn't been any help, nor has Neomagic. The win98 drivers supplied with the system won't install under win2k. Help!

you should try the Sony Vaio web site. The european one is www.vaio-link.sony-europe.com
all the drivers are there.

I installed W2K on my dell latitude laptop (also with neomagic 256)and it worked fine. I presume you have only to install win2k after your card is built in, then it will work.

There is no drivers for the 490 for win2k yet,so your best bet would be to recover your system back to 98,then setup a dualboot for 98/2000.Dont go for the ntfs file system when you install win2k and you should be fine
