Could not get Win2000 to complete bootup. After formatting and reinstall win2000, it keeps rebooting as if caught in an infinite loop. What to do?

Hi,
read this post of microsot

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;104203

As Microsoft says, this is a hardware problem
not a Microsoft problem, so they are guilting each other for the problem they have.... typical Microsoft attitude. +)

If I were you, I would check pc hardware and update BIOS image.
If you are using SCSI drive, I would download
the latest driver from vendor and Proporcionate to windows... beginning installation you can press F6 to give additional drivers to the system..

as mentioned - probably hardware problem. Best approach is elimination (disconnect as many hardware items as possible. Start with RAM - if you have > 1 stick, try each on its own - otherwise borrow a known good stick to test)
