Hello
I am trying to do a new install of Win2000 on a laptop. Process runs ok, then suddenly stops with a 'setup cannot copy the file cdfs.sys. press esc to skip file etc etc etc'. Any ideas?

hi,
it seems that one of ur storage device or ur source device which contains win 2000 files might be corrupted.

Problems relating to copying files during NT/W2K/XP set up are fequently due to RAM... It's either not good enough for the OS, or is failing... It may be OK for '9x(ME) but not fot NT/W2K/XP. You may have to replace the installed RAM in the laptop.
It's seldom the CD or the CDROM.
