win 2k server non-stop reboot

I had the same problem, after downloading the most recent update for windows 2000 server, our server keeps rebooting itself and never reached the windows login.
Would you please tell me how you solved this problem?

Can you get into safe mode?
You can try windows recovery http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000pro/support/whattodo.asp?frame=true

If you can get into safe mode, you can go to the properties of My Computer and go to Start up and Recovery. Go to the advanced tab and uncheck 'automatically reboot' on system crashes. You will now see what the error is instead of it just rebooting. If you can not fix it, uninstall whichever updates you just did.

I don't know what is the version of the update, I did try the safe mode, it did not stop rebooting. This is a windows 2000 server system, could you please give me some advice about how to repair the system?

I left home for a couple of hours, now my computer will not boot up. My darling boyfirend says he just attempted to reboot using control/alt/delete. I have windows 2000 and it will only boot up in ms dos (flashing dash and black screen) can anyone help me?
