Help!! For some unknown reason after rebooting my home development server (local file/web server) my d: partition which is where all my files and wwwroot is stored has become corrupt.
Basically now if I go to browse the drive the drive name has changed to local drive and you cannot get anything from it, it just says file or folder is corrupted and unreadable. Also in the drive properties the size is zero.

I looked in the Disk Manager and in their is says the partition is healty but no longer states the size or file system type.

Has anyone had anything like this before?? Nothing what so ever has been allowed on the drive to corrupt it, all the machine was rebooted for was to test some memory!!

I do have a backup, but this is approx 7 days old but will have to do if the worst comes to the worst.

Many Thanks for any help

Don't know if the following M$ KB item may be of help here - but have read and see???

M$ KB item: Q153973

Also a search in the KB (for windows 2000)using the string:

file system or folder corrupt

will bring up a few other items; one at least (Q176646) I think may be slightly more specific to your problem?

But then again either/both KB articles indicated may apply?

Where in the UK are you located?
