Comment:

I am running win 2K pro on a dual PIII, SCSI. I rebooted after installing DAZZLE software (a dvd/video capture station). I cannot go past the login screen in normal mode. After over 20 boot attempts the login gets stuck either on the window that says "windows starting up", or on the user login form, sometimes before I can enter anything, or sometimes after I've entered a username/password. No error message, the mouse still works as does the KB cap locks, but CTRL-ALT-DEL is inoperant, and the computer stays forever with nothing but either the blue background+mouse, or the gryed out login form+mouse.

The system boots in the safe mode, but I don't know what to do from there to get it to work well in normal mode.

Hi, I would undo what you did to the time where your computer started up just to see if there's a conflict with added software-hardware.
